Fineness test: Grindometer (0–50 μm) – no particles >50 μm
Dispersibility test: 5g pigment + 95g oil phase, high-speed mixing for 5 minutes, drawdown to check for specks
Simple magnetic test: Strong magnet over 1g pigment powder – high-quality product shows almost no magnetic residue
